Terms of Service

For the Discord chat exporter Chrome extension. Last updated: November 8, 2026.

These terms are a simple agreement between you and the publisher of the extension (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the extension you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.

1. What the extension does

Discord chat exporter lets you save a Discord conversation you can already see in your own Chrome browser, and turn it into files (such as AI-ready text, CSV, JSON, HTML and ZIP). It runs on your device. We do not operate a service that stores your conversations.

2. Using it responsibly

You agree that you will:

  • use the extension only with your own Discord account, and only to export conversations you are allowed to access and export;
  • follow Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and any rules of the servers you are in, and all laws that apply to you, including laws about privacy and copyright;
  • respect the privacy of the other people in a conversation, and not use exported content to harass, expose, defraud or harm anyone;
  • not use the extension to bypass access controls, to read conversations you are not permitted to see, or to overload any service.
Please be aware. Discord’s terms restrict the use of automated tools. Using this extension may lead Discord to limit or close an account. You are responsible for deciding whether to use it, and you use it at your own risk. We cannot guarantee that it will never affect an account.

3. Your content

Conversations and exported files belong to you and to the people who wrote them. We do not receive, access or claim any rights to them. You are responsible for how you store, share and use exported files, including any personal information they contain and what you paste into other services such as AI tools.

4. Not affiliated with Discord

This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. “Discord” is a trademark of Discord Inc., used here only to describe what the extension works with.

5. License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension for your own lawful purposes. You may not sell, rent or sublicense it, or copy it as a competing product, except where the law gives you that right.

6. Availability, changes and updates

The extension depends on how Discord’s website works, and Discord can change it at any time, which may stop parts of the extension working. We may update, change or discontinue the extension or any feature, and we may release updates through the Chrome Web Store.

7. No warranty

The extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness or non-infringement. Exports reflect only what Discord displayed to you in your browser: messages may be missing, files may have expired, and automated masking of personal details may miss some. Please check an export before relying on it or sharing it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill or accounts, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the extension. Where the law does not allow a limit, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the extension, which is zero.

9. Ending these terms

You can stop at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. We may end or restrict your use if you breach these terms. The sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers and limits of liability) will continue after that.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above shows the latest version. If you keep using the extension after a change, you accept the new terms.
